One of the newest all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, Ventus Ha’ at Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort opened in late 2021 as the newest part of the Marina El Cid complex, located in the charming Mexico beach town of Puerto Morelos, just south of Cancun.
In this unfiltered Mexico hotel review travel video, I show some of the things I like the best about this Mexico beach hotel — including my stylish guest room, the hotel pools, hotel spa and the beautiful, adults-only rooftop pool and lounge (one of my favorite places to hang out, especially to watch the sunset while sipping on a tasty cocktail from the bar’s extensive and creative menu).

I also show some of the nightly entertainment and hotel restaurants. Since guests at Ventus Ha’ enjoy access to amenities at the other two hotels in the Marina El Cid complex, I also show what those hotels look like and even take you inside some of their hotel rooms, so you can see the difference in style. For more details about this new hotel, check out my full hotel review in TravelAge West.
Another thing I really like about staying at this hotel is the location — it’s in Puerto Morelos, a cute Mexico beach town on the Caribbean coast of the state of Quintana Roo, in a region often called the Mexican Caribbean or Riviera Maya. While it’s relatively close to the bustling Cancun Hotel Zone as well as Cancun International Airport, Puerto Morelos maintains its small-town charm, with no crowds, barely any traffic and lots of cute cafes and shops. Some people have told me that it’s what Playa del Carmen was 20 or 30 years ago. It’s a lovely place to spend an afternoon during your stay at Ventus Ha’.

What Type of Traveler Would Like Ventus Ha’ at Marina El Cid?
This Mexico resort is a good choice for families with children of all ages (there’s a children’s club and a club for teens) as well as adult couples looking for an indulgent getaway.
Ventus Ha’ is a good choice for travelers who like the all-inclusive experience with lots of food and entertainment choices. Since it’s all-inclusive, you can sample cuisine at a variety of restaurants throughout the resort complex, so you’ll never get tired of the diverse culinary offerings.
What’s the Different Between Marina El Cid, Ventus and Ventus Ha’?
Since there are three hotels in this Puerto Morelos hotel complex, some people have asked me how to decide between Marina El Cid, Ventus and Ventus Ha’.
I’d say that, in terms of decor and design, Ventus Ha’ is the most upscale and stylish of the three hotels in the El Cid complex — it’s the newest and smallest (and therefore has fewer people) and has the trendiest design (which is gorgeous, with lots of natural wood accents and beautiful lighting in the guest rooms). When staying at Ventus Ha’, you have access to all the facilities of the other two hotels (and vice versa), so you can stroll right across to the other properties and use the big beach there, as well as all the pools at all of them. I found the pools at Ventus Ha to be especially inviting since they’re so spacious and never crowded; the rooftop adults-only pool/bar/lounge is absolutely spectacular.

If you’re looking for lots of space for a larger family or group, you might want to consider Ventus; I’ve included a visit to one of their gigantic suites in my video. And at Marina El Cid, you’ll be super close to the large marina, which is something that few hotels in this part of Mexico’s Rivera Maya can offer.
Regardless of which hotel at the Marina El Cid complex you choose for your all-inclusive beach vacation, you’ll find a relaxed, family-friendly venue with multiple adults-only spaces for those who prefer an even quieter ambiance.
