It’s one of the newest luxury hotels in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit. And now it’s time to take a look inside.
I had the honor of being the first foreign travel writer to visit the Conrad Punta de Mita hotel, which opened in September 2020 in the Riviera Nayarit, the upscale Mexico beach destination that lies just north of Puerto Vallarta. My full hotel review will appear soon in TravelAge West, but for now, I want to show what this stunning luxury hotel looks like, through photos and videos.

My travel videos, all of which appear on my YouTube channel, are known for being unscripted, unpolished and only lightly edited. That means you know that what you see is what you get. This is an especially good way to view a brand-new luxury hotel like the Conrad Punta de Mita, which offers abundant servings of elegant style, outstanding service, mouthwatering cuisine and memorable views. You can check out the full video hotel tour here (or scroll to the bottom of this page if you’re visiting the website).
The travel video also lots of information about new pandemic travel and hygiene protocols designed to keep guests and staff safe; every hotel has its own practices, and it’s comforting to see what the Conrad Punta de Mita is doing. (We as travelers must do what we can to protect ourselves and others, as well; be sure to check out my posts about pandemic travel safety.)

From my oceanfront suite with plunge pool to the beautiful beachfront restaurants to the stunning lobby, leafy open-air spa and gorgeously manicured swimming pools, the Conrad Punta de Mita is a visually exciting paradise. It’s worth noting that this is not an all-inclusive hotel; unlike many Mexico beach resorts, the Conrad operates on the European plan, designed for upscale travelers looking for sumptuous accommodations, unparalleled service and the freedom to dine wherever they like — including outside of the hotel. If you’re a fan of luxury travel and sumptuous beach vacations, this hotel could be a perfect choice for you.
ABOUT THE RIVIERA NAYARIT: Spanning some 200 miles of coastal beachfront along Mexico’s Pacific coast, the Riviera Nayarit is an ideal destination for luxury travel and indulgent vacations. It’s home to some of the world’s top luxury hotel brands (including the Conrad Punta de Mita, of course), plus unique cultural experiences that connect visitors with local indigenous culture and traditions. You can also savor excellent cuisine at local restaurants and at hotels, enjoy nature-based excitement like boating, hiking and bird watching, and hang out at any of the laidback and beautiful beach towns that dot the coast (it’s not uncommon to see celebrities there, so keep your eyes open).
