The Trump Ocean Club has an attention-getting architectural style that stands out in Panama City’s skyline. |
During my recent trip to Panama City, I enjoyed a hard-hat tour of the construction site at the Trump Ocean Club. Now, the developers have released a set of photos that give a glimpse of what the hotel rooms will look like when it opens to the public later this year (there were no model units open to see when I visited).
It says a lot that Donald Trump chose Panama City as the first destination in Latin America to debut his well-polished name. After all, this Central American hotspot is often called the Dubai of Latin America, thanks to its fast-growing skyline of dreamy skyscrapers and luxurious hotels.
The Donald’s venture promises to make a splash when it opens. The 70-story Trump Ocean Club International Hotel & Tower, located in the Punta Pacífica district, is an attention-getting piece of architecture, appearing like a giant sail rising from the coast. The tower will have residential units as well as 369 hotel guest rooms, plus a casino, spa and shopping area. Guests will also be able to take the hotel’s catamaran from the marina to a private island located just offshore.
If you’re hankering for a sample of Trump’s new Latin style, start planning now. Reservations will be accepted starting in July.
