Anyone looking to get a good deal on a Galapagos cruise might want to check out Metropolitan Touring and Haugan Cruises, both of which are offering pretty deep discounts on excursions through the end of the year. Here’s what’s available:
• Travelers booking a cruise on board the MV Santa Cruz with Metropolitan Touring will get two free overnights and transfers to/from the airport in Quito. The offer is valid for departures in August, September and the first two weeks of December Prices range from $1,321 per person for a four-day cruise plus two nights at the well-located Hilton Colon hotel in Quito to $2,806 per person for an eight-day cruise with two nights at the Hilton.
• Aboard the 88-foot, 20-passenger Galaven Galapagos Expedition yacht, Haugan Cruises is offering a “two-for-one” special for all four-day cruises in August and September (priced at $698 per person), and $500 off for cruises scheduled for September 23-30, September 30-October 7 and and December 2-9 (bringing the price down to $2,095 per person).
• Cruises aboard the 108-foot motor catamaran Cormorant, which accommodates 16 passengers, are eligible for a $500 off regular prices, for cruises scheduled for September 4-11, September 18-25, December 4-11 and December 11-18. (That brings the price for a seven-night cruise down to $3,395 per person.)
• Aboard the 98-foot, 16-passenger Athala, the company offers a $1,000 discount for seven-night cruises in August, including one slated for August 20-27, bringing the price down to $4,295 per person. All cabins aboard this luxury ship have private bathroom, air conditioning and wall-to-wall carpeting, as well as ocean views.
