U.S.-based Nacional Records, a label that specializes in alternative Latin music (including groups like Fabulosos Cadillacs, Aterciopelados and Manu Chao), has released a compilation of music called Fuerza Chile, with all the profits going to benefit victims of the recent earthquake.
The collection features an eclectic array of Chilean artists, including Los Tres, Francisca Valenzuela and Javiera Mena. Whether you’re into alternative rock, pop or perhaps a bit of electronica-tinged beat, you’ll find something in this catchy collection.
The compilation, priced at $5.99, is available on iTunes, or via the Nacional Records Fuerza Chile site. It’s an interesting fundraising concept (and of course a good way to draw attention to Chilean musicians and artists).
