It’s my last day in this beautiful, historic small city. No more relaxing on the Parque Central, the peaceful town square where locals and foreigners alike sit for hours, people-watching and enjoying the springlike temperatures. No more negotiating the stone streets and lumpy sidewalks to discover tiny shops and cool restaurants. And no more searching for a meal of tepesquintle (the rodent that is a traditional Guatemalan dish, but no one seems to ever eat).
I’ve assembled a few of my favorite images that I’ve taken during this visit. Still to come is a review of the amazing place I’m staying, Posada del Angel, which has welcomed presidents including Bill Clinton (I’ll have plenty of photos and a video), plus a video showing highlights of Antigua itself.
