Located in the heart of the Cancun Hotel Zone, the Hyatt Ziva Cancun is an excellent choice for families and adults looking for an all-inclusive Mexico beach vacation. This hotel was the first to welcome me as Mexico began implementing pandemic hygiene and safety protocols, and it was a pleasure to see how they combine safety and pampering. Now it’s time to see the video tour.
If you’d like to read my full hotel review of this property, feel free to check out my report in TravelAge West, the leading travel trade publication in the western United States. But now, it’s time to take a look inside the hotel, with one of my signature unfiltered, uncensored travel videos. People seem to really respond to these videos because they know they’re unpolished, unbiased visual presentations, so you know that what you see is what you get. The fact that this video was one of the most-viewed of 2020 on my channel is proof that people are hankering to travel again, and that they’re thinking a lot about Mexico travel, Cancun vacations and all-inclusive hotel getaways. People are also curious about the steps that hotels have taken to protect guests and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. And the Hyatt Ziva Cancun is an excellent example of how hotels can do things right.
The Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a good choice for a variety of reasons, including:
• It’s location in the center of the hotel zone means that you can easily walk to restaurants, shops and nightlife.
• This Cancun hotel has different sections for different types of travelers. The main part of the resort is family-friendly, with plenty of activities for kids (including a children’s club). But the Turquoize Tower, where I stayed, is an adults-only paradise, with its own pool and relaxation areas.
• There’s lots of tasty and diverse cuisine at multiple restaurants on the property, and it’s all included.
• Accommodations are beautifully appointed, with options like swim-up suites and rooms with big balconies and Caribbean views.
Personal tip (and I didn’t include this in my full hotel review in TravelAge West): one of the places that you can walk to from the hotel is a supermarket called Chedraui. A supermarket, you say? Well this is a beautiful, upscale market where you can buy everything from fresh, ready-to-eat food to wine and other spirits to clothing and souvenirs. It also has a drug store inside. Overall, it’s a one-stop shop for a lot of your Cancun vacation needs.

One thing to keep in mind: the pandemic isn’t over yet, and it won’t be for a while (at least, as of publication date for this post). So stay safe, even if you’re gotten your vaccines. We can all travel responsibly to protect ourselves and others. And, at the same time, enjoy some of that warm Mexican Caribbean sun.
