During my most recent visit to Buenos Aires to research a cover story for TravelAge West, I was a guest for a couple nights at the NH Collection Buenos Aires Lancaster, a mid-priced Buenos Aires hotel that’s centrally located. Borello Travel & Tours helped me find a to find a variety of well-placed hotels in Argentina‘s capital; here’s a review of my experience.
THE STYLE: Centrally located in downtown Buenos Aires, the 115-room NH Collection Buenos Aires Lancaster is just a couple blocks from bustling Calle Florida, a pedestrian shopping street, and Galerias Pacifico, a large shopping mall. The hotel’s style is elegant yet not stuffy (as is the architecture, although the façade is covered with scaffolding for renovation). The small lobby area is flanked by an attractive bar and restaurant.

HOTEL ROOMS: I stayed in room 414, a charming space with unique touches like an entry hall with eye-catching wallpaper and a full-length mirror, as well as an oversized, copper-colored headboard, curved work desk and walk-in closet. The bathroom was compact but modern and stylish, and I liked the glass-enclosed walk-in shower that took up one corner.
HOTEL FEATURES: My room rate included an extensive breakfast buffet, which included a “fresh corner” with a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients for custom-made smoothies. The hotel also has a gym and seven meeting rooms.
