A while back I enjoyed a stay at ME Cancun, part of the Spain-based Sol Meliá family. I was very impressed with the chic ambiance and décor, which combined a bit of Miami Beach style, with dramatic lighting, posh contemporary surroundings and a decidedly youthful vibe, complete with live Djs and a Maxim Magazine-branded beach club. It’s a lively and stylish choice in Mexico’s biggest beach destination (check out their Flickr account at http://www.flickr.com/photos/me-by-melia/ or their Youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/MebyMeliaHotels and you’ll get a good idea of what to expect; the “Real World” was even taped here).
Now, there is a new way to enjoy this sun-soaked property. As of November 1, it will become all-inclusive (or, as they call it, “Complete ME”).
Special all-inclusive rates start at $125 per person, per night, which includes food, drinks and access to two adults-only pools, the so-called “Chill-out deck” and beach club. There is also an 11,000-square-foot YHI Spa, but you’ll have to pay extra to get a treatment, of course.
