New kid on the block: The Hilton Bogota hotel. |
The latest fruits of the Bogota hotel boom are on view with the opening of two brand-new properties: the Hilton Bogota, which opened this week, and the Aloft Bogota Airport, which opens in December. To celebrate, both are offering special hotel deals.
Hilton Bogota
Hilton Worldwide is offering a special introductory rate at its newest Colombia hotel that starts at $99 per night, based on double occupancy.
The second Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Colombia, the Hilton Bogota is an attractively modern new, 15-story construction (I’ve driven past it before it opened; now I need to revisit to do a review).
Interesting design elements of the new Bogota hotel include an atrium lobby and a four-level bar and lounge that overlooks a heated outdoor swimming pool and hanging wall garden. The fitness center includes spa treatment facilities, and there is nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Restaurants and businesses in the Zona G neighborhood are close by.
The new property joins the company’s existing Embassy Suites by Hilton Bogota Rosales.
Aloft Bogota Airport Hotel
The Aloft Bogota Airport, meanwhile, opens in December adjacent to the city’s El Dorado airport, as part of the Connecta Business Ecosystem. Part of Starwood Hotels’ relatively new, contemporary hotel brand, the property features 1,000 square feet of meeting space and the w xyz bar, which serves light meals. Members of the Starwood Preferred Guest program will get 500 bonus Starpoints per stay when staying a minimum of two nights before January 31.
