The energetic, mysterious, and warm nation of Mexico is among the cities that travelers must visit at least once in their lifetime. When I first read about the ancient Mayan and Zapotec civilizations as a child, I was so mesmerized by their art and traditions that I decided I must visit their land sometime in the future.
Thirteen years later, I booked a two-week trip to Mexico and was thrilled by the idea that I would soon be able to visit such wonderful country. The lively fiestas, the spicy food, and the intriguing customs aren’t the only things I was after. Back then, I began taking an interest in painting, and Mexico’s classic as well as the rising contemporary art scenes are more than enough to spark my creativity.
