Frank Gehry Biodversity Museum (Hardhat Tour)
During my recent visit to Panama City, Panama, to check out the beautiful new Westin Playa Bonita resort, the hotel folks arranged for us to take a hardhat tour of what will likely be a major tourist attraction and architectural landmark: The Museo de la Biodiversidad (also called the BioMuseo), a biodiversity museum that’s also the first work ever designed by world-famous architect Frank Gehry in Latin America.
Sitting at the mouth of the Panama Canal, this stunning example of modern architecture is an eye-catching collection of colors, shapes and angles. The museum doesn’t open until 2013, but in this EXCLUSIVE VIDEO, you’ll get the same insider’s guided tour that I did. The visitor center is already open to the public on weekends, so whether you’re a fan of contemporary architecture, natural history or Latin America in general, this will likely be one more reason why Panama should be on your itinerary in the coming months.
